Preventing Dark Circles!

Ok since we girls have been complaining of dark circles under our eyes and looking like pandas…I’ve done a quick search on the internet and found some home remedies to prevent these dark circles.
Interestingly I found out that dark circles under the eyes have little to do with how late we stay up or how little sleep we get!
The periorbital area (around your eyes) is the thinnest and most delicate skin of your face. Like all skin, the periorbital area is webbed with tiny capillaries, blood vessels so tiny that red blood cells have to stand in line, and sometimes bend in half, to get through them. Blood sometimes leaks from these capillaries - this probably happens all over the body all the time. This loose blood isn't a problem; your body has a method of taking care of it.
Unfortunately, the body's process to get rid of that loose blood is what causes dark circles under the eyes. The way that loose blood breaks down is through an oxidization process known as "hemoglobin degradation." Basically, the hemoglobin (the stuff that makes red blood cells red) gets broken up into smaller components - and when hemoglobin degrades, it turns a dark bluish-red.
When we are fatigued or tired, our skin tends to be paler and therefore makes the dark circles even more prominent. So it is best to have ample rest and sleep. Also during pregnancy and menstruation, our skin also becomes paler and therefore making the dark circles appear darker.
Dark circle creams help by speeding up the hemoglobin degradation process. When the blood is completely degraded, the pigmentation will also fade. Some creams also help to strengthen our eye capillaries to prevent future ‘leakage’.

Below are some home remedies you can try:
1. Cucumber slices/ potato slices over your eyes for about 10-15mins. The cucumber slices soothes and lightens dark skin.
2. Used tea bags over your eyes will also help dark circles. Recommended tea bags to use include black tea, green tea and chamomile. Chamomile can also help to reduce puffiness.
3. Use a cold wash cloth when washing your face. Cold water helps to constrict the blood vessels under the eyes and reduce puffiness.
4. Indian remedy for dark circles:
You will need:
1 tsp tomato juice
3-4 drops of lemon juice
a pinch of turmeric powder
enough white flour to make a paste
Mash these ingredients together into a medium-thick paste and dab it under your eyes. After fifteen minutes, wash the paste away. This should lighten the dark circles and address puffiness to some degree.
5. Drink lots of water because water helps to wash the toxins out of our body.
6. Proper nutrition with a healthy and balanced diet.

The above information have been summarized from the website:

Happy preventing dark circles!

Things that are of value in LIFE, anyone's life...

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar..... And the coffee....
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if this jar was full. They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The student responded with unanimous "YES."
The professor then produced two cups of coffee under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.
"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, “I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the important things; your family, your children, your faith, your health, your friends and your favourite passions. Things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full."
"The pebbles are the other things that matter; your job, your house and your car."
"The sand is everything else. The small stuff."
"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued "there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls."

"The same goes for life, If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have rooms for things that are import to you. Pay attention to things that are critical to your happiness.
Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18. There will always be time to clean house and fix disposals.
Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand."
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled, “I’m glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there is always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend."

girls, since everybody is curious about the blog thing, I have read some explanation, here's the summary:
blog = in short of weblog, where people usually use it to write their thought, their dairy, or uploaded photo or video to share in the net. sometimes, people will also post up some links to share to others. just taking my unprofessionalphotography as an example, cause I really have put a lot of effort in studying how to make it more reader friendly. there are links to link to my imagestation and webshot. also, in some post, for example, i took picture in bon ton restaurant and i would like to recommend this restaurant, so i have put a link to this restaurant's homepage in my post. but of course, knowing how to write computer program will be easier la, cause last time in my secondary i did learn a little bit, so know very little computer language la. Emily, with your computer degree, i believe very soon you will over take me. i still slow in this blog.
